How are we using our time? Are we using it wisely?

We need to use our time wisely because it is a gift from God. (James 1:17) “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”(James 1:17) “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Time is From GodTime is From God –He created time (Gen 1:1)

(James 4:13-15) “Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”(James 4:13-15) “Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”

We need to use our time wisely because life is short. (James 4:14) “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”(James 4:14) “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” –Like a vapor ShortShort Doesn’t leave much of a traceDoesn’t leave much of a trace FleetingFleeting

We need to use our time wisely because life is short. (1 Peter 1:24) “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:”(1 Peter 1:24) “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:” –Flesh is as Grass Grass Withers as the Flesh will DieGrass Withers as the Flesh will Die –Flower is as Man’s Glory Flower falls off as the Man’s Glory is ForgottenFlower falls off as the Man’s Glory is Forgotten

Man’s Earthly Accomplishments will be Destroyed! (2 Peter 3:10) “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”(2 Peter 3:10) “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

Life is short and our physical accomplishments will be destroyedLife is short and our physical accomplishments will be destroyed –Need to put emphasizes on our accomplishments elsewhere (Matt 6:19-21) “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”(Matt 6:19-21) “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

(1 John 2:17) “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”(1 John 2:17) “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”
