2 Mission Statement The Mission of the CHARO-SBA Women’s Center is to be an economic catalyst, providing quality services and innovative programs for the economic advancement of the underserved business owners in all of Southern California.

4 Location & Hours The Center is located at: –CHARO Community Development Corporation –4301 E. Valley Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90032 Resource Room hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm Counseling hours: 9:00am to 6:00 p.m. (Appointment Requested) The Center is open Mon – Fri & Closed weekends and holidays

6 Resource Room The Resource Room is equipped with: –12 computers connected to high speed Internet –Popular Software Programs including Business & Marketing Planning Software, Microsoft Office Suite & Graphic Design –High Speed BW Copier Machine –Fax Machine –Color Laser Printer

7 Resource Room The Resource Room also serves as the business library with: –Business Planning Books –Business Start Up Materials –Business Magazines –Daily Newspaper

8 Business Incubator The Center links interested and qualified clients directly into the CHARO Business Incubator Program. The Incubator is designed to help small and home based businesses move into professional office space. Rents begin as low as $375 per month (month to month lease)

9 Business Incubator The Incubator offers cubicle and private office space at affordable pricing. Includes: –Large Furnished Space(s) –Paid Utilities (except phone) –High Speed Internet Access –Lunch Room & Waiting Area –Conference Room –Access to copier and fax machine –Parking Space & Visitor Parking

10 Contract Procurement The Center Can assist any minority owned business with contract success. Will provide assistance with finding bid opportunities through our Bid Matching Program. Will provide technical assistance with bid responses by reviewing your proposal and giving you feedback.

11 Accessing Financing The Center can also assist you with accessing financing. Many contracts may require that you grow your business prior to receiving any funds. –Hiring Additional Staff –Purchasing Equipment

12 Small Business Loans The Center can assist you with applying for a business loan. Types of business loans include: –Micro-Loans: Loans up to $25,000 –Conventional Loans: Loans more than $25,000 –SBA Guaranteed Loans –Equipment Loans –Commercial Real Estate Loans –Home Equity Loans
