Demonstrate the themes, ethics and values reflected in American literature which continue in American culture today.  3. Identify the characteristics and styles of a distinctively American Literature of the periods.  4. Identify and manage relevant information about cultural norms.

4  WE will only read two novels this semester:  1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald  2. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger.  (It is suffice if you read any e-book or the summary. For exam, I will tell you what to read)
