1 11+ procedures for 2015 - 2016 Headlines:- The 11+ tests were changed last year and put into one day only, instead of 2 days. There are two tests and a writing task The first will be English and Maths The second will be Reasoning, verbal and non-verbal Children will be asked to do a 40 minute writing exercise which will be used in borderline cases

2 11+ procedures for 2015 - 2016 Important dates Closing date to register Wednesday, 1 st July 11+ tests all on Thursday, 10 th September Headteacher appeal Friday, 25 th September Assessment decision to parents Wednesday, 14 th October SCAF form completed by Friday, 30 th October National offer day Wednesday, 2 nd March Closing date for appeals Tuesday, 29 th March

3 11+ procedures for 2015 - 2016 Test Papers Paper 1: 1 hour long 30 minutes of English including 5 minutes practise questions 30 minutes of Maths including 5 minutes practise questions Paper 2: 1 hour long 30 minutes multiple choice – verbal reasoning 30 minutes multiple choice – non verbal reasoning Writing exercise: 10 minutes planning time, 40 minutes writing

Practise papers? Tutor? Read the information on the KCC website Paying for transport to school if not your nearest school Visit the schools on their open days
