3. When Mission was Built (Founded) Mission La Purisima was the eleventh mission built out of twenty-one missions.

4. Mission Site La purisma was founded on December 21,1812 and it was all destroyed.

5. Father Junipero Serra The maker of La purisima is Father Juniper Serra. The father is who made the mission. He is the important one about La Purisima. Father Junipero Serra is the one who built all twenty one missions.

6. Founder of Mission The founder of La Pumisima was Fray Ferman Fracisco de Lasuen on August 1842 died.

8. Agriculture and Livestock The Indians primary food sources were acorns and pine nuts; shell fish; sharks, sea bass, halibut and other fish caught in nets or harpooned; game birds and small animals hunted with bows and arrows.

9. Indians Joining this Mission When the Indians joined La Purisima in 1834 and there where about 200 come and some died. The did a lot of singing when they were grinding acorns also during births, harvest, and hunting. The Chumash Indians lived in round house made of stick and reeds.
