3 Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

4 Hosea 10:12 … break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

5 When God hears from heaven… Let’s pray… Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, and visit this vine and the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, and the branch that You made strong for Yourself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved! ( Psalm 80:14-19)

Give thanks to the Lord for answering many prayers, for saving many souls, for touching the hearts and minds of thousands of people and granting SA international favour for the way the World Cup was hosted. We are still facing unemployment, poverty, rising living expenses, AIDS, racial tension and discrimination, corruption, violence crime, etc. We cannot afford for one moment to let our shields of faith down. The enemy will attack precisely at such a time as this - the end of a major emotional and civic event. Let us not abandon our watch, let us press in to seek God’s face and to plead for His favour and mercy over our nation. Here are some prayer pointers to help you pray for the next several weeks.
