5. 3 & 20 at A25. A10’s legal forward pass falls incomplete at the A48. Before the pass is released, the BJ flags B30 for holding TE A80 at the A32 yard line. Penalty is accepted. Down & Distance? 6. 4&2 on the B40. QB A10 receives the snap and (a) tries to hand the ball to A30 at the B45 or (b) pitches the ball back to A30 at the B45. A30 muffs the ball in both instances and it rolls to the B47. A30 picks up the ball and runs wide left to the B35 in advance of the line to gain. Ruling? (a) No 1 st Down – Team B’s ball; 1&10 at the B47. 4 th Down Fumble Rule (b) Team A; 1st & 10 at B35

7. B45 intercepts a legal forward pass at his own 7- yd line. After running several steps, he is hit and fumbles. The ball rolls and strikes the pylon at the front corner of the end zone. Ruling? Safety The impetus that placed the ball out of bounds in the end zone was B45’s fumble.
