4 “But the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead
“But the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead. He has become the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again. So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, Adam, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man, Christ. Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man. But all who are related to Christ, the other man, will be given new life. But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised first; then when Christ comes back, all his people will be raised. After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having put down all enemies of every kind. For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.” Genesis 32:1-2 1 Cor 15:20-25 4 4 4 4

7 “"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.” Genesis 32:1-2 John 5:24-25 7 7 7 7 7

9 Jesus Defeats Death Death found its birth through Adam.
The first step to defeat death was for Christ to enter into the human condition.

10 “ Because God's children are human beings – made of flesh and blood – Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. We all know that Jesus came to help the descendants of Abraham, not to help the angels. Therefore, it was necessary for Jesus to be in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. He then could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.” Genesis 32:1-2 Hebrews 2:14-17 10 10 10 10 10

11 “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.” Genesis 32:1-2 Romans 8:3 11 11 11 11 11

12 Jesus Defeats Death Death found its birth through Adam.
The first step to defeat death was for Christ to enter into the human condition. Jesus conquered Death by Dying.

13 “Though he was in the form of God, Christ Jesus did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, in the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.” Genesis 32:1-2 Philippians 2:14 13 13 13 13 13

14 “then at last the Scriptures will come true: "Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power” Genesis 32:1-2 1 Cor 15:54 14 14 14 14 14

15 Jesus Defeats Death Death found its birth through Adam.
The first step to defeat death was for Christ to enter into the human condition. Jesus conquered Death by Dying. Sin is the “sting” of death

16 "But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him." Genesis 32:1-2 Acts 2:24 16 16 16 16 16
