AMAO #1 Annual Progress in Learning English How are students assessed? The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) is used to assess student English language proficiency.

Who is in the cohort? All English learners who have 2 years of CELDT scores. AMAO #1 Annual Progress in Learning English

How are students assessed? The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) is used to assess student English language proficiency. AMAO #2 Attainment of English Proficiency

Who is in the cohort? English learners … Intermediate level (prior year) ELs enrolled in US schools for 4 or more years; Early Advanced or Advanced who did not reach English proficiency the prior year; below the Intermediate level (prior year) who met the English Proficient level the current year. Includes students: With 2 years of CELDT scores who have been in US schools for 4 or more years; and at the Intermediate level or above who did not reach English proficiency the prior year; and below the Intermediate level the prior year who met the English proficient level the current year.

How is progress defined? Students score at the English Proficient level AMAO #2 Attainment of English Proficiency

What percentage of the district’s EL subgroup meets the AYP participation rate and percent proficient targets for ELA and mathematics? AMAO #3 Proficient on AYP Measures

Who is in the cohort? All English learners Reclassified Fluent English Proficient students (RFEP) who have scored proficient three or fewer times on the AYP assessments. AMAO #3 Proficient on AYP Measures
