2 Echolocation: The sonarlike system used by dolphins, bats, and other animals to detect and locate objects by emitting usually high-pitched sounds that reflect off the object and return to the animal's ears or other sensory receptors.

3 Infrasonic: Pertaining to a sound wave with a frequency below the audio-frequency range.

4 Pertaining to or utilizing ultrasound.

5 DOLPHINS!!!

6 How do dolphins use echolocation? Dolphins use several sounds such as whistling and clicking to communicate with their family , just as human use words to communicate with each other. Of course this type of communication is called echolocation. Dolphins have certain uses for echolocation it's not only used for communication , but also to locate it's prey , predators , sick dolphins , or lost babies. Echolocation works by bouncing off objects and creatures then it bounces back in the dolphins direction who is picking up the sound and the information given by it when its sonar receives it.

7              BATS!!!

8 How do bats use echolocation
How do bats use echolocation? Bats can determine the size , shape , direction , distance , and motion by using echolocation. Echolocation is so useful that bats can detect insects the size of gnats and objects as fine as human hair. As we know bats are blind so basically echolocation which is sound helps the bat get around and when the sound waves and vibrations come back to the bat its let them know how close or far something is from them.

9 Why do dogs hear sounds that people can't hear?
Dogs and some other animals can ear sounds at higher frequencies than 20,000 Hz. That is why people can't hear a special dog whistle, while the dog will react to it. Being able to hear the higher frequencies may be useful in hunting for the animal.

10 Elephants can hear sounds a lot lower then people can?
Elephants can hear lower frquencies much lower than the range of humans. Some researchers who were studying elephants in Africa discovered this. The story goes that a herd of elephants they were observing suddenly perked up their ear and ran off in a direction, as if they heard someone calling them. The researchers said they didn't hear anything, but some said they felt something starnge in their bodies, just before the elephants ran off. Elephants can hear up to 5 miles away.
