2. The Skeletal System The function of the skeletal system is to give us support and to be able to move around. Without the skeletal system, we would all be a blobs and just be a big bag like body.

3. Role of Bones, ligaments, muscles, and tendons in movement Bones are the key of movement and to go to different places. Muscles contract and make the movement and momentum to perform different tasks. Ligaments are fibrous bands or sheets of connective tissue linking two or more bones, cartilages, or structures together. So they hold everything together so you can move. Tendons are structures in your body that connects a muscle to a bone.

4. Hydrostatic Skeleton This is a structure found in many cold-blooded organisms and soft-bodied animals that consists of a fluid-filled cavity, the coelom, surrounded by muscles. The pressure of the fluid and action of the surrounding muscles are used to change an organism's shape and produce movement, such as burrowing or swimming.

5. Exoskeleton An exoskeleton are found in arthropods and many other species, the exoskeleton is made up of chitin. The skeleton is on the outside of the body instead of on the inside.

6. Endoskeleton An internal supporting skeleton, from the mesoderm, that is a characteristic of vertebrates and certain invertebrates. We have an endoskeleton.

8. Osteoporosis Osteoporosis is a disease that is the loss of of bone tissue. In osteoporosis, the cancellous bone loses calcium, becomes thinner, and may disappear altogether.

9. Scurvy Scurvy is a disease caused by lack of vitamin C in a person’s diet. If a person does not get enough vitamin C, any wounds the person may have heals poorly. This disease was more common on ships a long time ago.
