Types Of Services Available The types of services available are: Floating Support – support that can be delivered to clients living in any type of home. i.e. private rented or local housing authority home. Supported Housing – for people who need accommodation to enable them to get the appropriate level of support they need.

Our Aims Provide high quality supported accommodation to homeless vulnerable people Enable vulnerable people to develop the skills to live independently in their own accommodation Prevent homelessness and the problems this causes to individuals and communities

Why Is Housing Related Support Needed? The services can prevent individuals from accessing hospitals, health services and institutional care and avoid homelessness. Prevention of offending (and re-offending) is a major priority and settled accommodation has an important role to play. Providers deliver personalised services, support plans are tailored to meet their needs and aspirations. Cost Benefit For every £1 spent by Derbyshire Accommodation and Support Team (DAST) on housing related support services against the potential cost to partners both internal to Adult Care and external to partners, such as health and crime, the cost benefit clearly shows the overall value of the DAST investment: Cost Benefit per £1 on average is £7 Domestic Abuse £5.61 Mental Health £17.64 Young People Services £8.94
