8 Subsidies – DECC & ODI £112 of the average £1287 family dual fuel bill = Green policy £37 = renewable subsidy (£30 ROCs and £7 FiT) < 3% of average bill. £47 = ECO and energy saving measures tackling fuel poverty. £24 = pensioners discount & other measures. UK is 5 th subsidiser of f-fs – independent think tank, 7 th Nov 2013. £280m were given to oil and gas producers through tax breaks. Several billion pounds of reductions on VAT on f-fs – 2011 SUBSIDIES – a level playing field ???
