Regional Energy Centre of Western Greece (1998-2002*) Basic conclusions Transport the most energy-consuming (50%) High electricity demand in housing sector (36%) Strong dependence on fossil fuels, limited RES (2,1%) Transport the highest percentage in CO 2 emmissions(66%) Public lighting 4% of energy consumption *Suspended its action due to lack of funding

2. Covenant of Mayors Signed on 06/11/2008 Preparation of the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) for the City of Patras is underway with the assistance of the National Centre for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES)
