Step 2 - Go to http://news.bbc.co.uk and launch the video ‘ONE- MINUTE WORLD NEWS’.http://news.bbc.co.uk Step 3 - Sts watch the video without the sound and decide how many news stories were included in the report. Step 4 - Once they have finished, they discuss with a partner what they saw and what they already know about the news stories. Step 5 - Now they watch the clip again with sound and see if they were correct about the number of news stories. They also make notes of any factual information included on the stories (names, place, figures etc.) You can pause the video if you need to make them notes. Step 6 - They watch and listen again and then try to expand their notes into a brief summary of each news article.
