1 More Holiness Give Me Isaiah 35:1-10 Eyes of Blind Would Be Opened
Lame Would Walk Deaf & Dumb Would Hear & Talk Highway Would Be There Verse 8, “A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.” Christ Ushered In a Way of Holiness Read Isaiah 35:1-10 Isaiah is prophesying the coming of Jesus Christ. During this time the…

2 More Holiness Give Me Song: “More Holiness Give Me”
Words We Really Need To Think About Holiness is the Quality of Being Set Apart From the World Holiness Implies Purity & Devotion We Should Desire More Holiness Because… When we sing we are teaching and admonishing one another. This song is imploring each of us to be more Christ like.

3 More Holiness Give Me God Has Called Us To Be Holy
Eph. 1:4, “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” I Peter 1:15, “He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” Rom. 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” As Christians, God has called us to be holy, set apart or different from the world. This is something we must work on everyday. We Should Desire More Holiness Because… (next slide)

4 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Pure
II Cor. 7:1, “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” I John 3:2-3, “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” To be holy is to be pure. Being pure is removing sin from our lives and living for God. Being pure is not easy but something we strive for each and every day.

5 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Pure
II Timothy 2:22, “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” I Peter 1:22, “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.”

6 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Pure
Zechariah 13:8-9, “And it shall come to pass in all the land," Says the Lord, "That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, But one -third shall be left in it: I will bring the one-third through the fire, I will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people' And each one will say, 'The Lord is my God.” To become pure is not easy. It often involves trails in our lives. God often talks about the life of a Christian as the refining of precious metals. Zechariah prophesies regarding the followers of Christ. Peter says about the same thing in I Peter 1:7. (next slide)

7 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Pure
I Peter 1:7, “that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ:” How we endure the trails and temptations in our lives determines how pure our lives will be. We Should Desire More Holiness Because…

8 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Like God God is Holy
Isaiah 6:3, “And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!“ Rev. 4:8, “The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" “I want to be like God” may sound strange, some may say even arrogant, but we are to become Christ like, or God like, aren’t we? First, we notice that God is holy.

9 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Be Like God
Leviticus 19:2, "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.“ I Peter 1:15-16, “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." As we noticed earlier, God has called us to be holy. Just as He is holy, God wants us to be holy like Him. Do we have a desire to be like God and be holy as He is holy? We Should Also Desire More Holiness Because…

10 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Go To Heaven
II Peter 3:10-14, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, The earth is not going to last forever. It will be destroyed so we must prepare ourselves for the new heaven and new earth. Notice what Peter said…

11 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Go To Heaven
II Peter 3:10-14, “looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.” Only those who are holy will see the Lord and be able to enter heaven… (next slide)

12 More Holiness Give Me I Want To Go To Heaven
Hebrews 12:14, “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Revelation 22:14, “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. If our desire is to go to heaven then we must live holy lives and obey God in all things.

13 More Holiness Give Me I Should Be Holy Because… I Want To Be Pure
