CONTENT Installation related examples Installation related examples Application related examples Application related examples
3
Installation related : Refrigerant pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Saw used instead of cutter Problem : Problem : –Burrs can enter pipe and cause blockage inside the equipment –Improper cutting causes flares to leak Advise : Advise : –Use copper tube cutter
4
Installation related : Refrigerant pipe work Refrigerant pipe work Refrigerant pipe work –Close tubes during storage. Problem : –Moisture, dust, sand ect.. Can enter tube. Mistake : Mistake : –Pipes stored on the ground without seal plugs Problem : Problem : –Moisture, dust, sand ect… can enter the pipe –Pipes can be crushed by stepping onto them Advise : Advise : –Seal the pipes –Store pipes on a stand
5
Installation related : Refrigerant pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Dirt entered the unit during installation of field piping Problem : Problem : –Filters gets blocked Advise : Advise : –Take special care to avoid dirt entry –Follow vacuum procedure prescribed in installation manual
6
Installation related : Refrigerant pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Incorrectly positioned refnet Problem : Problem : –Refrigerant noise –Unequal refrigerant distribution causes lack of capacity at some indoors Advise : Advise : –Install refnet according to specification installation manual. OK
7
Installation related : Refrigerant pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Pipe not connected correctly to refnet Problem : Problem : –Refrigerant noise –Unequal refrigerant distribution causes lack of capacity at some indoors Advise : Advise : –Install refnet according to specification installation manual.
8
Installation related : Drain pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Too small drain pipe Problem : Problem : –Water can not evacuate and drain switch activates –Water leakage can occur Advise : Advise : –Use drain pipe size advised in installation manual
9
Installation related : Drain pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Drain trap installed without cleaning possibility Problem : Problem : –Dust and rubbish accumulates in trap and blocks the pipe Advise : Advise : –Don’t use drain trap –If inevitable, make it as indicated in picture
10
Installation related : Drain pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Too long distance between suspension points of drain pipe Problem : Problem : –Pipe bends trough and water can not flow out Advise : Advise : –Suspension distance should be 0,8 ~ 1 m –Slope should be 1/100
11
Installation related : Drain pipe work Mistake : Mistake : –Too small pipe size in collective pipe Problem : Problem : – Drain switch activated by water flow obstruction in too small pipe size. Advise : Advise : –Use drain pipe with ID 30 mm or more for collective piping
12
Installation related : Electrical wiring Mistake : Mistake : –Wire tightened over the insulation part Problem : Problem : –Wire overheated –Over current safety activates Advise : Advise : –Fix wires according to drawing on the left
13
Installation related : Fixation
14
Floor mounted type FXLQ It is not just a problem for condensate evacuation. The fan it is not made to work in this position. Risk of damage on medium term Installation related : Wrong position of indoor unit
15
Mistake : Mistake : No free air suction Problem : Problem : Refrigerant can not be evaporated causing capacity Shortage & compressor break-down Advise : Advise : Provide enough room for free air suction Installation related : Wrong position of indoor unit
16
Application related : Installation lay-out Mistake : Mistake : –Indoor unit with different demand on one H/P system Problem : Problem : –Too cold in meeting room Advise : Advise : –Use heat-recovery or connect indoor meeting room to system with same operation mode request NORTH SOUTH Meeting room Landscape office HEATPUMP OUTDOOR High internal heat load = cooling demand No internal heat load, NORTH side = heating demand
17
Application related : Air distribution Mistake : Mistake : –Wrong location suction/discharge grill Problem : Problem : –Air short - circuit Advise : Advise : –Install grills in the room in such a way to obtain a good air circulation location grilles Air suction grille Air discharge grille Largest area no direct air circulation
18
Application related : Air circulation Mistake : Mistake : –Air suction side does not come from air- conditioned room Problem : Problem : –Can not heat or cool the office enough Advise : Advise : –Air suction should be done from room to be air- conditioned. BASEMENT OFFICE Air suction from basement at 16°C Air outlet
19
Application related : Air distribution Mistake : Mistake : –Air short circuit Problem : Problem : –Can not heat or cool the room properly Advise : Advise : –Avoid obstruction at air outlet –Separate air outlet from air suction (e.g. suction at floor level, outlet at ceiling level) Air suction Air outlet behind couch
20
Application related : Air distribution Mistake : Mistake : –Ceiling not closed Problem : Problem : –Heating capacity shortage because warm air goes via the gap into the false ceiling Advise : Advise : –Use closed ceiling so that warm air can not escape to ceiling void Gap (open ceiling) Unit installed in panel
21
Application related : Fresh air connection Mistake : Mistake : –Fresh air connection to branch duct connection of FXYF Problem : Problem : –Discharge air unit can escape via fresh air ducting Advise : Advise : –Use fresh air kit chamber, “KDDJ55G80-1” and duct-connection, “KDDJ55G80-2” Branch duct connection
22
Application related : Service space Mistake : Mistake : –Installation location outdoor create air - recirculation Problem : Problem : –Outdoor temp is 27°C, but at inlet condensor VRV it is 40°C. –Efficiency & life time go down, unit can trip on HP safety Advise : Advise : –Respect installation service space advised by Daikin
23
Application related : Temperature control Mistake : Mistake : –Bad location remote sensor Problem : Problem : –Unit stops although set temperature is not reached Advise : Advise : –Never install remote sensor where discharge air can influence the sensor Remote air sensor influenced by discharge air unit COLD AIR
24
Application related : Temperature control Mistake : Mistake : –No use of remote sensor for unit with free suction Problem : Problem : –Warm air (cooling) or cold air (heating) from the ceiling void influences the unit sensor –Bad temperature control Advise : Advise : –Install remote sensor when using free suction DUCT UNIT : e.g. FXSQ80M7V1B Unit sensor Air false ceiling enters the unit Room air 18°C 28°C Setpoint 21°C cooling
25
Why? 1.Indoor units are running in heating mode 2. Same system airconditions rooms with different load or application. Example: a perimetral landscape office requires heating while small interior meeting rooms require cooling or at least no heating. 3. The expansion valve is set to a bleeding openning between 150 and 240 pulses, in order to avoid accumulation of refrigerant and oil in the coil Application related : Temperature control Problem: Overheating of a small room where temperature control seems to not work.
26
1.Install Remote sensor 2.Disable the Remote controller sensor 1.Enable the Heating optimization function of the Intelligent Touch Controller: the indoor unit fan is forced off at the thermostat off. Application related : Temperature control Problem: Overheating of a small room where temperature control seems to not work. Countermeasure:
