2. WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? MATTHEW 16: 13-17 Now when Jesus went into the regions of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, Who do people say that the Son of Man is? And they Answered, Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you Say that I am? Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Mark 8: 27-29 And Jesus went on with His disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; And on the way He asked his disciples, Who do people say that I am? And they answered, John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others One of the prophets. And He asked them, But who do you yourselves say That I am? Peter replied to Him, you are the Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One.

3. WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? How does the disciples from the Four Gospel looked at Jesus? Matthew: Matthew special emphasis is given to the teaching Ministry of Jesus. Fulfilled prophecy is repeatedly referred to in his writings Mark: Most vivid account of Jesus' life. Mark stressed facts and action, rather than themes or topics. The briefest of the four Gospel but has more detail using the words immediate or once More than thirty times. Luke: Luke the physician and a man of high literary ability with excellent education, portrays Jesus as an actual Person in history Who came to seek and to save that which was lost. The poor and oppressed are given frequent consideration, especially in the parables. John: John wrote about Jesus from a point of intimacy. The disciple that Jesus loves he repeatedly referred to Jesus as “I AM” (The Bread of Life, Light of the world, Way and the Truth and the Life) His purpose was for the reader to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. The word believe appears ninety eight Times. BUT THEY ALL HAD ONE ACCORD– JESUS IS LORD

Isaiah 54: 5 For your Maker is your Husband- the Lord of hosts is His name – the Holy one of Israel is your Redeemer: the God of the whole earth He is called. Jeremiah 3: 13 Return, O faithless children, says the Lord, for I am Lord and Master and Husband to you Hosea 2: 16 And it shall be in that day, says the Lord that you shall Call me Ishi “ my Husband”

5. WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? What happen after we make our declaration? Disciples - Women of WISH Trials and Tribulations – debt, sickness, suffering Persecutions – hurt, pain, disappointment Wavering and Running – living in denial Fear and Trembling – accepting and moving forward into The unknown

6. WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? WHO DO YOU SAY JESUS IS? IS HE YOUR LORD? IS HE YOUR SAVIOR? IS HE YOUR CREATOR? IS HE YOUR PROTECTOR? IS HE YOUR PROVIDER? IS HE YOUR LOVER? IS HE YOUR KING? THEN LET GO AND LET GOD. GIVE HIM FULL REIGN, WHETHER IT’S GOOD OR BAD? Isaiah 43: 1-12

GOD IS PROACTIVE NOT REACTIVE Meaning of proactive – Having an orientation to the future, anticipating problems and taking affirmative steps to deal positively with them rather than reacting after a situation has already occurred. Acting in advance to deal with an expected difficulty; anticipatory: Meaning of reactive - to act in a reverse direction or manner, esp. so as to return to a prior condition. To act or perform again Isaiah 43: 19
