Parts of the OnSync environment Can be moved or closed Each have their own purpose and provide moderator (or attendees) with additional functionality Each synclet has its own options (upper left corner – examples below)
Displays who has joined the session Enables moderator to invite participants to broadcast and to change roles or permissions Allows moderator to eject participants from session
Can select to broadcast video and audio both or just audio After broadcast starts Can mute mic Can adjust mic volume Can freeze the camera Can stop the broadcast
Moderator invites participant to conference Participant must accept in order to broadcast
Participants can request to speak Moderator accepts request to speak (either video and audio or just audio)
Users without microphones can contribute to the discussion or presentation Moderators cannot see private chats Permissions can be set to deny private chats
Content Share Synclet Can share varied types of content Screen Share PowerPoint Video Whiteboard Can open multiple tabs of content simultaneously
Plugin must be installed prior to attempting screenshare Browser must be restarted after installation so prepare for this at least a day ahead of meeting Moderator’s resolution may affect participant view of screen Try lower resolution on moderator computer or have participant select “fit to screen” May also want to modify layout to increase size of content synclet
Notes Synclet Notes synclet could be helpful during a web meeting Layout can be arranged so that all participants can see notes Notes are captured as meeting occurs and everyone can see notes
Questions cannot be seen until answered by moderator Questions can be emailed to moderator (or any other email) Q&A Synclet hides synclets beneath it
Questions must be entered on the fly One question can be entered at a time Participants can change answers until Poll is finished Results can be emailed
