2.  Light from the sun reaches earth in about 8 minutes.  The suns core is about 13600000 degrees Celsius!  Because of the suns huge influence on earth, many cultures believed the sun to be some kind of god.  A solar eclipse occurs when the moon is between the sun and earth.

4.  Our moon that you see in the sky is only the 5 th biggest moon in our solar system. That means there are 4 other larger moons!  Mons Hyugen is the largest mountain on the moon, it is about half the size of mount Everest!  The first person to set foot on the moon was Neil Armstrong.
