5 Flexion The bending movement that decreases the angle of a bone joint (CONTRACT)

6 Bones Organs that contain two types of tissue: Compact Bone – the hard outer layer of bone Spongy Bone – the interior region of the bone that contains many holes

8 Cartilage Stiff, flexible tissue that is part of the skeletal system.

10 Tendons Connective tissue that attaches skeletal muscle to bone

11 Muscles There are 3 types of muscles, that help your body with movement in different ways. Skeletal Muscle – works with the skeletal system and helps your move Cardiac Muscle – found only in the heart, continually contracts and relaxes to move blood throughout your body Smooth Muscle – found in organs such as the stomach, bladder, and blood vessels; moves materials through your body
