Only have two pages The Introduction Page Most websites do have an introduction page to get the audience interested and it makes the website more interactive because they have to click on that page to get to the home page. Image on this page will be similar if not the same as the one on the poster. This will successfully link each of the media products together. The image will also be of the victim who is the main protagonist. I have found from my research that typically the character mostly featured on the website is the victim. A good example of this is the ‘Insidous Chapter 2’ website. I am also thinking about maybe having the image on the introduction page as a gif similar to the one present on the ‘Insidous Chapter 2’ introduction page because I believe that this will make my website look very professional and make to the audience even more interested in looking at the website and even more motivated to see the film.

3. Home page The background of the homepage will be the main character because this will be the person who has been in the trailer the most, on the poster and the introduction page. So it will make the sense in having that person as the background because the audience has grow to recognise that person with this film. A good example of this in action is the ‘The Conjuring’ home page. Another convention that I will use in my own product is having symbols of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, this gives the audience the chance to find out more information about the film and they can interact with the film, talk to others who had seen the film and read reviews, comments of what people had said about the film easy and efficiently. So by having this on my own website means that I am not shutting the door to people that only look at film reviews on twitter or Facebook and keeping my viewership as big as possible.

4. Home page Even though I want my website design to follow conventions I also want it stand out from the crowd. So to make my product a little bit different from other horror film websites I have seen. The way I hope to do this is by having the trailer present on the home page. I believe that this will be very effective in getting people to see the film, because most people go on a horror film website to find out more information about that certain film before they go to see it in the cinema, so by having that there on the home page means that they can access it easily.
