1 Genetically Modified Foods
By: Latasha Barnett, Kendall Smith, and Andreinna Rivera

2 What do you see reason for a food company to own a drug company?
The only common reason for a food company to own a drug company is to simply make more money. They put bad things in the food that will make certain people sick so then they can go and buy their drugs to feel better, thus the company makes more money.

3 “There is no money in healthy people, there is no money in dead people” (Brown,2009)
We think that this quote means that if they cant make money in healthy people, or dead people then that means they can only make money in people that are alive and a little on the sick side.

4 Good vs. Bad What is the good/bad of GMO foods?
The good of GMO foods is better nutrition. Farmers can produce more nutritious foods through genetic modification. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Institute for Plant Sciences produced a GM rice that contained higher-than-normal levels of vitamin A, a nutrient often deficient in the diets of people whose diet consists mostly of rice. The bad of GMO foods is berceuse GMO foods had shown no increase in yield and no decrease in pesticide use. In many cases other farm technology has proven much more successful, and even Monsanto agrees that its genetically engineered crops yield less than conventional farming.

5 Examples of GMO Foods! Soy Corn Tomatoes Papaya Potatoes rice

6 Benefit/Harm GMO foods can be both harmful and beneficial. The reason that some people are pro GMO is because scientist can put things into the food, and make them more healthier than they were before. They can add all sorts of vitamins and thing that can make people more energetic. But on the other hand people feel that adding things to food can take a turn and actually make people severely sick. The health consequences of eating genetically modified organisms are largely unknown, and people feel that it's not safe. One other big fact is that genetically modified food are not labeled in America. Most people feel they have the right to know what they are putting in their mouths.

7 How much GMO foods do you eat?
We think we eat on an average of at least two times per week without even knowing it.

8 We deserve unpolluted foods!
We feel that Monsanto has no right to control the seed that grow or the ones we try to grow. We all have the right to grow and produce fresh, non contaminated foods.

9 No GMO!
