TAKE BACK LEGISLATIONS By Ben and June

ABOUT TAKE BACK LEGISLATIONS  To decrease the Amount of Waste Produced  Decrease our impact on the environment (harmful chemicals found in electronics)  Changes the way manufacturers design and produce their appliances.

WHAT DESIGNERS SHOULD CONSIDER TO MAKE PRODUCTS MORE ECO-FRIENDLY.  Using the minimum number of different materials  Color coding parts which aids disassembly *Labeling*  Using materials which can be recycled plastics  Avoiding adhesives and coatings Difficult or impossible to recycle and take apart materials.

WHAT DESIGNERS SHOULD CONSIDER TO MAKE PRODUCTS MORE ECO-FRIENDLY.  Re-usable parts and materials Saves money- do not need to make more parts by re-using old parts  Making the products as small as possible, keeping in mind that the performance should not be impaired.  Using Materials which can be fully recycled.

WHAT DESIGNERS SHOULD CONSIDER TO MAKE PRODUCTS MORE ECO-FRIENDLY.  RoHS Directive Restriction for Hazardous Substances Phasing out Lead Cadmium Mercury Hexavalent Chromium

WASHING MACHINES
