2 Considerations Is there a connection between the intra-psychic and inter-relation, and that of the intranet and internet communications and workplace dynamics? Have you ever experienced email content and intent getting 'lost in translation’? Or been part of an organisation introducing new or up-dated IT where you have found yourself amongst a group of people where there was a polarity of the enthusiastic willing to the absolute die-hard resisters? If so, you will know that emotions can run high these situations and often very quickly.

4 Technology the Game Changer Technology is a game changer for transactional analysis in many ways as it impacts on how we interact with the world, our colleagues, trainers/trainees, supervisors/supervisees and our clients. There is a new paradigm of professional practice emerging that is forcing us to set standards, safety and technology- isms’ into actions. Could it be the new intelligence ITQ (internet technology quotient)?

5 Workshop Outline This workshop will be a combination of interactive discussions that involve theory, experience and practice. It will offer challenges and opportunities to share your own experience, how people are learning online and together define fundamental professional practices for our own professionalism along with deeper insights by having applied transactional analysis to more easily understand the dynamics and emotions technology brings for individuals, teams, workplaces. This will be an interative process as workshop participants work together and create new understandings of being online, learning online, plus tools and techniques for being alive and well in cyber space!!

6 Mandy Lacy As a TSTA in the organisational field Mandy draws on her own experience in change project management, publications and study on cognitive apprenticeship, her Masters and PhD research in patient/people education technology for health services, health professionals and digital literacy along with linkage to a recent chapter she has written for an American University publication on 'emotions and technology' for the Learning Sciences. www.lacyconsulting.net.au
