2 GROWING LEADERS Opportunity. Engagement. Achievement. www.hartnell.edu SSSP Background  The Student Success Act of 2012, signed by Governor Brown on September 27, 2012, established the Student Success and Support Program (SSSP). The SSSP replaces the former Matriculation program.  Key recommendations require students to complete core matriculation services: Declare a course of study early and complete orientation, assessment, counseling/advising, educational planning and participate in follow-up services.  The Act provides categorical funding to complete these tasks and establishes enrollment priorities for different groups of students and ties academic standing to the BOGFW program
