Today we light the third candle of advent. The candle represents joy. It reminds us of the joy the world experienced at the birth of Jesus.

For all God’s family who share the good news of his love.
Lord, in your mercy…
For all who suffer because they are blind or deaf.
For people who have died, and those who miss them.
For an end to war and hatred in our world.
