MID-TERM REPORT EVALUATION Some remarks: LIFE12 ENV/IT/352 «BIONAD»   Action B1: Your Technical Annex 4, supplement to Deliverable B1, did not provide the results of the foreseen analyses SEM, AFM, HPLC and GC-MS. Please explain in the Final Report if such analyses were skipped and why. Please also explain how this choice has impacted the project budget.   Action B5. I acknowledge that Action В5 decided to produce less naturalised dyes than foreseen in the Grant Agreement. Please explain in the Final Report the reasons for this choice as well as how this choice has affected the project budget.   Final Report transmission 30/09/2016   Update project website   Action D.1: You did not transmit the draft of the "Naturalised dyes manual" due with the Mid-term Report. Please note that the manual should contain not only information about the leather dyeing with naturalised dyes, but also about the biopurification of dyeing effluents and - if not covered by industrial secrecy - about the synthesis of naturalised dyes. By final report stage such manual should be transmitted to and positively accepted by the European IPPC Bureau in charge with drawing the BREF document for tanneries.

MID-TERM REPORT EVALUATION Some remarks: LIFE12 ENV/IT/352 «BIONAD»   Policy: The "Relevance for policy areas" paragraph of your Final Report should explain whether naturalised dyes are compliant with the Directive 2002/61/EC about azocolourants, as well as it should demonstrate how the project results will contribute to the implementation of other European/National/regional legislation that is relevant to the leather tanning sector.   Sustainability and replicabilitv. You have mentioned some factors that might limit the proposed technologies' scaling-up. Please note that: Your Final Dissemination Annex should list the industrial stakeholders (e.g. dye manufacturers, industrial federations and business associations, tanneries that provided letters of intent) that were actively involved in dissemination activities and present which of them might possibly scale up the proposed processes of synthesis, dyeing and/or bio-purification; The "Analysis of long-term benefits" paragraph of your Final Report should explain which are the Governmental bodies involved and which kind of authorisations would be needed for scaling up the project processes to industrial scale.   Acceptance of INESCOP cost moving without amendment need   FINANCIAL ISSUES SPECIFIC FOR EACH BENEFICIARY
