3 A little history? Officially granted charter July 28, 1949 with 5 charter members Chapter officially organized September 20, 1949 with 23 members Non-profit status as 501c6 in May 2, 1955 Today… over 300 architect members and growing!! In 1992 the chapter changed the official name from “Baton Rouge Chapter – American Institute of Architects” to “AIA Baton Rouge” to align with National’s vision of “One AIA”

19 Applications and Rules: www.aiabr.comwww.aiabr.com Applications are simple and NOT submissions; due prior Eligibility: – Must be an architect member of AIA Baton Rouge for at least one year and member at time project was completed – Project must have been completed within past five (5) years – Projects may be “resubmitted” as long as they have not previously won an award in that category Rose Awards Submissions
