3. No Worker Left Behind No Worker Left Behind (NWLB) is Governor Granholm's vision to Accelerate worker transitions through learning. Support the state’s employers and economic development needs. Align the use of existing training resources with those who could best utilize them. A one time offer for those who meet eligibility requirements, to obtain 1 year worth of tuition, worth UP to $5,000 at most Michigan community college, university, or other approved training program at no cost to participant. NWLB program was birthed as a two year program, but the sunset of the program is July 31, 2010 - so funding for training will be 1 year at this point. Note: All training must lead to an advanced certification or diploma. This is NOT an entitlement program. You MUST be eligible for WIA and suitable for training. Some restrictions may apply.
