1. EVANGELISM: THE MISSING STEP Question: Why do we see so little from our evangelism in the UK? I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A STEP INVOLVED IN EVANGELISM THAT MOST CHURCHES DO NOT GIVE THOUGHT TO, OR PRACTICE, AND IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF OUTREACH.

2. ‘Even though Christ’s decisive victory over Satan is complete, we need to acknowledge our own role in enforcing that victory through prayer and spiritual warfare. We face a very real enemy: Satan, meaning "adversary." 3. HOW MANY SPIRITUAL KINGDOMS OR DOMINIONS ARE THERE? John 3:5 (NIV) Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Col 1:13 (NIV) For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, John 5:19 (NIV) We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. THERE ARE ONLY 2 SPIRITUAL KINGDOMS THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE DOMINION OF SATAN.

5. BUT HOW DOES SATAN CONTROL THE WORLD? Satan is a fallen angel, he is a created spirit being and therefore he is not omnipresent (to be able to be in all places at once). Dan 10:13 (NIV) But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Eph 6:12 (NIV) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 7. WHAT CONTROL IS EXERTED OVER NON- CHRISTIANS? Luke 4:6 (NIV) And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendour, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. Acts 26:18 (NIV) to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ 2 Cor 4:4 (NIV)The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. SATAN HAS AUTHORITY & POWER OVER NON-CHRISTIANS AND HE HAS BLINDED THEM TO THE GOSPEL MESSAGE!

8. EVANGELISM – WHAT WE FORGET! (Col 1:13 NIV) For he has RESCUED US FROM THE DOMINION OF DARKNESS AND BROUGHT US INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON HE LOVES, (Acts 26:18 NIV) TO OPEN THEIR EYES AND TURN THEM FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, AND FROM THE POWER OF SATAN TO GOD, SO THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS AND A PLACE AMONG THOSE WHO ARE SANCTIFIED BY FAITH IN ME.' BUT WILL THE SATANIC ARMY LET THEM GO WITHOUT A FIGHT?

10. WHAT DID JESUS SAY ABOUT THIS? Matt 12:29.... how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house. Luke 11:21,22 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armour in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils. Matt 18:18 “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. WHAT SHOULD WE DO THEN?

12. HOW DO WE DO THIS? 1 IDENTIFY THE STRONG MAN / MEN OVER AN AREA WHERE WE WISH TO EVANGELISE AND BIND HIM /THEM. 3 THEN WE MUST DO BATTLE TO BIND UP THE STRONG MAN / MEN. 2 HOW DO WE IDENTIFY THE STRONG MAN? BY ASKING GOD TO REVEAL HIM / THEM USING PRAYER AND PRAYER WALKING.

13. WARNING If you, as a church, decided to take this route then be warned (this is from personal experience); Satan will attack all the weaknesses he can find in the church. The battle will get very tough and very dirty. The main weapon that he will use is to cause divisions and dissension between Christians in the church. NOTES: 1 WHEN YOU WERE ‘BORN AGAIN’ (SAVED, CONVERTED) YOU ENTERED A BATTLE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! YOU ONLY HAVE TWO CHOICES - FIGHT OR SURRENDER. 2 IT IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVE TOTAL UNITY IF YOU WISH TO GO INTO THIS TYPE OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE; ESPECIALLY AMONG THE LEADERS. 3 SATAN WILL ATTACK ALL AREAS OF WEAKNESS, AND DISUNITY IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON. IF THERE IS DISUNITY OVER THIS TYPE OF WARFARE - DON'T BOTHER.

14. WARFARE & THE LOST IS OUR PERSONAL COMFORT REALLY MORE IMPORTANT THAN GETTING INTO THE BATTLE AND SEEING FRIENDS, RELATIVES AND NEIGHBOURS SAVED? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
