Write to describe/inform/explain for Paper 2 Write each response in 45 minutes: – 5 minutes to plan – 35 minutes to write - 5 minutes to check at the end. Read the task instructions carefully, think about your response and try to be original. REMEMBER AND APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN TODAY!!!

2 WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPRESS THE EXAMINER AND GET TOP MARKS ?
Consider the task and be clear on your own viewpoint. Really think about your audience and try to reach them through the style , words and examples you give. Put detail /information /examples in your answer. Use paragraphing and structure to make your answer stronger. SHOW OFF – by creating deliberate effects with punctuation , sentence lengths and posh words or something unique!

5 Something like this….. Mobiles are a brilliant blessing! Curse on anyone who doesn’t agree! MY CLASSMATES Be modern, funny, sarcastic link it to them – friends / you / we eg. 1 – You are going to be late from school as you have a detention , no, sorry that should be an important revision class. You don’t want your Mum to worry, what do you do?? eg. 2 - Texting!!! Totally, truly, time saving way of communicating eg. 3 – Okay, we’ve all heard the news reports – living in fear because of text bullys, getting serious diseases from using them too much, getting mugged because someone else wants yours – but have you? The media can blow things out of proportion – they are the curse – not the mobile! PARAGRAPHING – Give each one discourse marker to start – except opening Open strong 2- consider both sides 3- make my point known stronger 4- win over audience + close SHOW OFF – alliteration, rhetorical – what would you do without your faithful friend?
