Introduction Egyptian Art includes tomb walls, urns, hieroglyphics, temples, pyramids, and artifacts found in the burial chambers. Hieroglyphics is a type of writing using pictures. It can be written up to down, left to right, or right to left, depending on which way the animal faces are turned. Some of the most famous artifacts were found in King Tut’s tomb. Most were made of gold.

Tomb walls tell the story of the life or afterlife of the person buried there. On tomb walls, as well as, temples the royal or holy name is written in a cartouche. Most tombs are found in the “Valley of the Kings”. Pyramids are also tombs of some of the Kings.
