1. The Cat II Review Cat IIs are normally reviewed by (in order): College (either a person or committee) Curriculum Coordinator Curriculum Council Representative (CC Reps are assigned to a College) Curriculum Council Chair Director of Academic Planning and Assessment  Graduate Proposals will additionally be reviewed by the Graduate Council after the Curriculum Coordinator  BaccCore Proposals will additionally be reviewed by the BaccCore Committee after the Curriculum Coordinator  WIC/DPD Proposals are reviewed by the WIC/DPD coordinator and the BaccCore Committee after the Curriculum Coordinator Note that any proposal may be referred to the Curriculum Council at the discretion of any of the Reviewers.

2. Logging into the Course Proposal System  The CPS is found at the following URL: https://secure.oregonstate.edu/ap/cps/ https://secure.oregonstate.edu/ap/cps/  Click to Log in either on the side bar or on the link provided on the page.

4. Accessing Proposal Waiting Review Once logged into the system, proposals ready for review can be accessed by selecting My Pending Reviews from the side navigation bar or the icon on the main page.

5. Accessing Proposal Waiting Review Proposals can also be accessed by using the links in the e-mail sent by the Curriculum Proposal System when a new proposal is ready for review. The proposal links will take you directly to the proposals. The link at the bottom will take you to your full review list. You will need to log into the system, if you are not already logged in.

6. Reviewing a Proposal Above are screen shots taken as one would scroll down the proposal. Change course proposals have boxes to highlight what has been changed. Click on these boxes to see the changes. Uploaded documents can be found and accessed at the bottom of the proposal. Note that all new courses and change courses require an attached syllabus.

7. Reviewing a Proposal At the bottom of the Reviews section in the opened proposal, is a yellow text box for a reviewer to either approve or send back the proposal to a proposer. Use the radio buttons to indicate your selection, and write any comments to reviewers in the comments box.

8. Sending a proposal is sent back….  Reviewers can send a proposal back for clarification or additional information.  The system will send a notification e-mail to the originators. A link to the proposal is provided in the e-mail. To assure the best outcome, please make sure that instructions to proposers are clear and curteous.
