Responsible Care® is the chemical industry’s global initiative to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, security and environmental performance.
Being a Responsible Care company means sharing information with communities and others about performance and ways to improve.

9. Development of Responsible Care
American Chemical Association ( ACC ) developed the systems of the RC.
International Council of Chemical Association ( ICCA ) became the awarding body of RC to Associations.
GPCA developed its systems to fulfil the ICCA requirements.
GPCA got the full membership of ICCA in June 2009.
