1. The Talent Show

2.  Last year we held a talent show which was open to all the students in the school.  It was amazing to see what talents our students have.  A show like that needs some organising though.

3.  This year all the students in Year 7 will be helping with some aspects of organising the show.  You will be using your ICT skills that you have learned over the past 2 terms, to create computer based items to support and advertise the running of the show.

4.  You have learned about lots of software packages in Year 7  Word Processing  Spreadsheets  Databases  Photo editing  You might have used Microsoft Powerpoint in primary school.  You might have used Microsoft Publisher.

5.  You will be given a mind map to come up with ideas that you can use ICT for  The first one has been done for you, eg. You could use a word processor to create a poster to advertise the auditions.  Complete the mind map

6.  Letters to invite people to be a judge  A Powerpoint presentation to advertise the show, you could include video clips of the old show Audition Posters Show Posters Website Program Tickets Database of Contestants Spreadsheet of costs

7.  All successful projects must be planned.  Now you have decided roughly what you want to do you need to plan it.  On your planning sheet, fill in for each task  When you plan to start it  When you plan to finish it  What you will do in class  What you will need to finish off for homework.  Complete the planning sheet in a logical order
