18 TEACHING RESILIENCE Positive psychology says the key to building resilience is learned optimism Penn Resiliency Programme (University of Pennsylvania Positive Psychology Centre) Based on CBT – resilience concepts shown through roleplay, short stories and cartoons. Skills practised are: assertivness, negotiation, decision making, social problem-solving and relaxation.
