Student and teaching staff mobility Adopted procedure for student mobility at the University of Tuzla Horizontal mobility Vertical mobility There is no mobility between B&H universities It’s a lack of statistical data for student mobility in the B&H Spontaneus mobility – mobility out of international programmes Organised mobility – ECTS Tempus project – first mobility in the B&H
The following actions should be realized: creating university networks with universities/partners from abroad increasing the number of foreign students at the University of Tuzla, organizing student mobility with universities abroad organizing teaching staff mobility with universities abroad offering courses to foreign students and teachers in Summer Schools developing joint programs/curriculum with partner universities from abroad participating in international research projects with partner institutions from abroad organizing mobility of researchers at an international level offering postgraduate studies which would be attractive not only to B&H students but also to foreign students developing internationally accepted quality assurance system
How to improve the current state Realize activities promoting teaching staff and student mobility in accordance with the adopted procedures Define number of students which will participate in the mobility, and the number of students which will spend some time at the University of Tuzla Approve budget needed for the student and teaching staff mobility, which would require financial support from the Tuzla Canton Organize studies so that administrative obstacles for foreign students would be removed and enable implementation of the national and international funds for student mobility
Influence B&H Ministries of education to generate funds for student mobility at the state level (in accordance with the Law on higher education) following the examples of the EU countries Influence the state structures to enable B&H students access to EU funds for teaching staff and student mobility Organize postgraduate studies in English Organize summer schools in English and offer courses of interest to foreign students and teachers Provide curricula in English (published on the University’s website) Harmonize academic calendar
