Lunch Lunch 12:00 – 12:20 –Wash hands –Sit at classroom tables (2 tables) –Trays already on table with food served Main food item, bread or rice, egg, vegetable and fruit Apple juice, orange juice, milk or water –Learning opportunity: table manners & social skills

Mandarin Mandarin Assistant – Ms. Vicky 40 minutes everyday Classes are leveled Mandarin Journals/Books sent home weekly

Outdoor Time 20 minutes of outdoor time at least twice a day –Independent and lunch Rainy days: Indoor Playroom, Gym, Indoor/Outdoor Classroom Outdoor time gives children opportunities to interact with peers, develop their large motor skills, and learn social skills.

Social/Emotional Integrated through all content areas Children will learn to be a positive member of our class, school and community Learn the importance of being respectful, accepting of individual differences and being polite Kelso’s Choices (See other slide) – Conflict Management Program by Ms. Tina to help identify and solve small problems independently or get help for a big problem.

Assessment Teaching Strategies Gold –Teaching Strategies GOLD is a developmentally appropriate, ongoing, observation-based assessment that occurs when teachers are observing children during regular, everyday activities on a continuous basis throughout the year. It is grounded in 38 objectives that guide teachers throughout the assessment cycle. The objectives are organized into 10 areas of development and learning, including broad developmental areas, content areas, and English language acquisition.
