1 Nature has been described as God’s “other book.” Even here is evidence of the Supreme Being. All the rivers run into the sea, All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full; Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come, To the place from which the rivers come, There they return again. (Eccles. 1:7) There they return again. (Eccles. 1:7)

2 Many things in the physical realm have been used by inspired men to teach of things in the spiritual realm: “But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.” (Malachi 4:2)

3 Many things in the physical realm have been used by inspired men to teach of things in the spiritual realm: “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” (Rev. 22:16)

4 Many things in the physical realm have been used by inspired men to teach of things in the spiritual realm: In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Rev. 22:2)

5 Many things in the physical realm have been used by inspired men to teach of things in the spiritual realm: ….because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away. But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (1 Peter 1:24-25)

6 The River Jordan is a strange stream which flows down from the perpetual snow-capped heights of Mount Hermon to the depths of the Dead Sea. It twists and curves in a 160-mile long bed, while the distance it covers is only 65 miles in a straight line. This feature of the Jordan River raises an intriguing question. Why Are Rivers Crooked? It is because they follow the course of least resistance.

8 Genesis 4:1-3 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, "I have acquired a man from the LORD." Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD.

9 Genesis 4:4-8 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

11 Genesis 13:8-10 So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.

12 Genesis 13:11-13 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.

So Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it. And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”

15 Exodus 32:22-24 So Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil. For they said to me, ‘Make us gods that shall go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’ And I said to them, ‘Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out.”
