4 WARNING This study of “Toxic Faith” will deal with the common “misbeliefs” that poison one’s emotional and spiritual well-being. This study will focus on how to eliminate toxic faith from one’s personal belief system.

5 1. Definition “Toxic faith” believes that which is not true as though it was true.

6 Toxic faith...... differs from unbelief which means one does not believe in Jesus Christ.

7 Toxic faith... … means one embraces a falsehood as though it were true.

8 By the word “toxic” it is meant that... such false belief is poisonous and hazardous to one’s emotional and spiritual well-being.

9 Therefore... The terms “toxic faith” and “misbelief” are synonymous.

15 4. Results of toxic faith Can be disastrous! Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

16 Jesus said: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Mt 7:13:-14

17 So what we believe really matters: The content of faith is important! 1 Cor. 15:1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you... that Christ died for our sins... 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day…. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again… The content of faith is important! 22 5. Other unnecessary results from “toxic faith” We are unhappy, anxious, afraid, depressed, disappointed, etc. when God desires to bless us! WHY?

And the God of peace will be with you.
