2 The instructions(excerpts) The aim of this Tweasure Hunt is primarily to have fun, but also to uncover some of Limerick City’s fascinating history and hidden treasures. On your map you will see markers for the positions of 13 plaques commemorating people, places, events and organisations - all part of Limerick’s History. You are required to unlock the exact location of these plaques using the following clues. Once you have figured it out, go to the location of the plaque and take a picture on your phone- make sure you include your team logo in the corner. Tweet the picture using the #LmkTH. This will get you 10 points. 2

Converting from Protestantism to Catholicism caused a sensation in his Native New England Home. He came to Limerick to live in the early 1800’s and died in 1815 as a locally esteemed priest of edifying piety!

14 The plaques 14 Team ElephantTeam Butterfly Team TrainTeam Aeroplane The clue: This Limerick Institution, which opened its doors on the 1st of December 1831, took its name from the prominent Limerick family who donated the money for the purchase of the land in a fine act of philanthropy. Many poor Limerick dwellers were glad of its existence during 1832’s cholera epidemic.
