1 Financial Slides for August 6, 2002, BOE Meeting

2 The mission of San Diego City Schools is to improve student achievement by supporting teaching and learning in the classroom. 2 Administrative Directives  Use of all hourly and employment agency employees will be terminated effective August 31.  New integrated position management process begins September 1.  All central office overtime and extra-time will be eliminated effective September 1.  Position reclassification requests are immediately integrated into new position management process.  All Temporary Out of Class (TOC) assignments will be reviewed through the position management process and non-critical assignments will cease immediately.

3 The mission of San Diego City Schools is to improve student achievement by supporting teaching and learning in the classroom. 3 Administrative Directives  Central office food purchases (other than those for student instruction or the feeding of students) are eliminated effective August 1.  The Logistics Division will immediately serve as the districts only authorized agent for bidding, negotiating, purchasing, and executing agreements for goods, services and materials - except for annual textbook adoptions and facilities management.  An immediate District-wide freeze is imposed for the purchase and implementation of all new or upgraded computer software, unless coordinated through Information Technology.  All out of district travel and professional development using general funds is eliminated effective July 31.
