2 Background In 2002 the NAAEE Board adopted a position statement on diversity and accepted a set of recommended actions for both diversifying NAAEE and helping to diversify the field of environmental education. The committee identified six actions that NAAEE should take to diversity itself and two actions to help diversify the field. This survey addresses action #7.

3 NAAEE Diversity Action #7 “ Survey the Affiliates (state, provincial and regional EE Associations) to ask about their work to support inclusion, values of diversity and multiculturalism. NAAEE will then develop a policy, in collaboration with Affiliates, that encourages all Affiliates to adopt policy statements that specify steps to support the values of diversity and multiculturalism in their organizations.”
