ACT ONE,SCENE 3 The military meeting about the imminent Turkish is interrupted by the arrival of Brabantio, Othello, Cassio, Iago, Roderigo and officers. The duke is persuaded by Othello’s tale and he dismisses Brabantio’s claim

The duke decides that Othello must go to Cyprus to defend the Island from the Turks. The couple (Othello and Desdemona) then leave to prepare for the night’s voyage. ACT 2,SCENE 3 A herald announces the celebration of Othello’s marriage to Desdemona and also the safety of the Cyprus from the Turks. In this scene, Iago also tells the audience that he will make a mountain out of the molehill represented by Cassio’s holding Desdemona’s hand Speaker A: It’s true, good lieutenant Speaker B: For mine own part- no offence to the General, nor any man of quality.
