5. Practice Safety You should never put anything on top of power cords. Items on power cords can damage the wires inside the cord and create a hazard. Question 1: What is a power cord? 8. Safety Explanation Hi, Smiley again. It is so awesome that an adult will be in the lab to help you assemble electric circuits. The teachers will be wiring the electric plug and the power source for your safety.
