Introduction:- -In this presentation our aim is to help 3 rd year pharmacy students to choose between pharm.D or B.pharm programs. - so, we will make a comparison between these tow programs in table form, and by video interviews with some doctors in both tow branches. - And we hope this will be helpful for them.

-According to last studies in U.S, the data show that 143 billion $ was the cost of drug morbidity and mortality !!!!. - -inappropriate drug prescription (doctors), dispensing (pharmacist) are the main causes. - This force U.S to create this new pharm D program (concentrate on safer and the most suitable drug use) to solve or decrease this dangerous problem.

Years of study Bachelor of pharmacyThe Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree, considered as Bachelor in academic work, but as master in clinical work after completing hospitals Accredited Residency Training Program. Degree 1) pharmacists distribute prescription drugs to individuals. 2) counsel patients on the use of prescription and over-the- counter medications. 3) Most pharmacists keep confidential computerized records of patients' drug therapies to prevent harmful drug interactions. 4) Compounding — the actual mixing of ingredients to form medications 1) Share with medical stuff for the best drug selection. 2) advise patients about general health topics, such as diet, exercise, and stress management 4) Managing the pharmacy 5) Promoting public health 6) Providing drug information and education Responsibilities

Pharmacists are dynamic, patient-oriented professionals committed to fulfilling the health care needs of their patients. Pharmacy is a profession that is expanding in new directions to meet the health care needs of all saudi. Currently, there is a movement beyond the traditional compounding and dispensing of medication towards a more professional advisory and primary health care role. Pharmacists can apply their knowledge and skill to become directly involved in the healing and education of patients. The phrase "ask your pharmacist" is becoming increasingly common - and with good reason. Pharmacists are an integral part of the community and serve as an important source of knowledge

Take the time to visit your local Pharmacist and ask questions to help improve not only your health but the health of your friends and family as well
