KNOWING YOUR WORDS Frequency: the number of times a value reaccures in a unit change of the independent variable of a given function. Ratio: the relation between two similar magnitudes with respect to the number of times the first contains the second. Percentage: a rate or proportion per hundred.

TWO-WAY FREQUENCY TABLE Gender Story of LoveMartial Arts Champ Men7812 Women2586 Movies 1.Men who purchased tickets to Martial Arts Champ to all men. Answer: 12 : 90 about 13.3%

HOW TO SOLVE FOR RATIO & PERCENTAGE Step #1 : You have to divide the number from which you are going to get the ratio from by the total number. Step #2: once you have gotten your ratio you divide those numbers to get your percentage.

SO IN THIS CASE…. GenderStory of LoveMartial Arts Champ Men7812 Women2586 Movie 1.To be able to get the ratio you are going to add 78 + 12 which if you add bb you get 90, you get 12 from the table, because of Martial Arts Champ, and that’s how you would get your ratio12 : 90. 2. Now to get your percentage you would divide 12/90 and that’s how you would get your percentage of 13.3%

YOU DID IT! And that’s how you solve to get ratios and percentages from a two-way frequency table.
