4 Applications Simple high-efficiency step-down (buck) regulator Efficient pre-regulator for linear regulators On-card Switching regulators Positive to negative converter (Buck-Boost)

5 Advantages are reduced the size of heat sink and most of the case no heat sink is required, simple to used. Disadvantages are noise, EMI. Other manufacturer Motorola, Bay linear.
