4 Horse Breeds Quarter Horse: working ranch horse Hand = 4”
AQHA: largest horse breed assoc. in U.S. fast sprinter (1/4 mile) = quarter horse first breed developed in U.S. (1600’s) most heavily muscled light horse 14-16 hands tall at withers Hand = 4”

Large patches of white with brown, black or combination of the three. Palomino Light tan to golden color with flaxen mane and tail. Appaloosa Mixture of white with any other color to create a pattern of spots. Mottled.
